Load Cell Accuracy Classes

Jul 12, 2026 Leave a message

The accuracy class of a load cell is a key indicator of its measurement precision and directly impacts the reliability and stability of the weighing system. Usually expressed as a percentage or a specific numerical value, this class reflects the maximum permissible error across the sensor's full-scale range.

Class C3: Represents 3,000 scale intervals (an accuracy of 1/3,000) with a combined error of ≤0.03% FS; commonly used in applications such as trade-settlement weighing and ingredient batching.

Other common classes: C1 (error ≤0.1%; used for high-precision scientific research), C6 (0.25%), C10 (0.5%), etc.; the lower the number, the higher the accuracy.

C1 vs. C3: While C1 offers the highest accuracy, C3 provides the best cost-performance ratio and meets the vast majority of standard requirements.
